City’s sales tax continues to grow

Bottineau’s 2014 city sales tax for the third quarter is higher than the first and second quarters of 2014.

Third quarter sales tax for 2014 in Bottineau was $289,684, which is an increase of $33,796 from the second quarter that ended at $255,888.

When compared to the first quarter of 2014, the third quarter sales tax saw an increase of $33,551 from the first quarter which ended at $254,133.  

If the numbers are broken down for the third quarter, they are as follows:

● July - $112,825
● August – $124,107
● Sept. - $52,752

When compared to the third quarter in 2013, this year’s sales tax increased by $31,041.

From April to June in 2013, sales tax for the city was at $258,643.

With $799,710 raised to date this year in the city of Bottineau, the city is on its way to breaking a million dollars for the second year in a row.
