Dakota College at Bottineau is seeing a good multiplicity of students this fall semester with their estimated enrollment count of over 950 students.

“Our out of state enrollment has increased by 98 percent since last year, our overall enrollment has increased by 84 percent, and our on campus housing has increased by 20 percent,” said Carissa Botton, admission counselor at Dakota College at Bottineau. “We also have a more diverse campus than ever before, representing 43 states and three countries on our small campus.”

Botton stated that enrollment numbers and diversity at DCB come from students knowing what junior colleges can offer them in an education and future careers.

“From my perspective, students are starting to realize that two-year colleges are not only a fast track to a great career through Career and Technical Education programs, but also an easier transition from high school to four year universities,” she said. “Students who are looking at a four year degree can bypass large lecture halls by taking their general education classes at DCB and save money while they’re at it.

“And, the personal attention and leadership opportunities on DCB’s campus are unmatched, serving as an excellent place to continue their education,” Botton added.
