Bottineau was abuzz Friday and Saturday as the city celebrated its annual “Crazy Days” event.
The two-day event brought out people from Bottineau and further afield to take part in festivities going on all around town. From sidewalk sales at the shops lining up and down Main Street to the plethora of events going on at the Bottineau County Fairgrounds, there was something to offer for all tastes.
“Crazy Days” was kicked off Friday with sidewalk sales at Bottineau’s stores and a bake sale at the Technology Center.
Many other area businesses got into the spirit. State Bank of Bottineau employees grilled brats with proceeds going to the Imagination Library, while Bottineau Hometown Market held a large outdoor produce sale.
The Bottineau County Fairgrounds were particularly busy Saturday. Mouth-watering smells wafted all over from the event’s barbeque rib cookoff.
The Spit Show & Shine car show was perhaps the biggest draw of the day as many area automotive enthusiasts put on display classic and new souped-up cars and motorcycles for the third edition of the annual show.
Half of the proceeds raised from registrations for the car show are set to be donated to the Turtle Mountain Cancer Support organization. TMCS also had a silent auction set up at the Fairgrounds.
