Retreat guests at Metigoshe Ministries and other children visiting the Lake Metigoshe area now have a new place to play.

During a picture-perfect afternoon last Wednesday, Metigoshe Ministries officially opened a new playground on its land on the southeast banks of Lake Metigoshe. The playground is situated adjacent to the Christian Center and just yards up Larson Beach Road from the nearby Metigoshe Lutheran Church.

Metigoshe Ministries recently was named a recipient of Bayer CropScience’s “More for Everyone” award, which sees the agricultural manufacturer donate funds to non-profit organizations in the company’s markets.

In total, $6,000 was donated by Bayer CropScience to Metigoshe Ministries toward the construction of its new playground. Bayer CropScience also donated the same amount to the Bottineau Area Community Foundation for equipment at a new child care center on the Dakota College at Bottineau (DCB) campus.

Bayer CropScience’s “More for Everyone” award was established in 2010. Since then, farmers who plant Bayer’s InVigor canola seed have nominated local non-profit organizations to be recipients of the award.

This year alone, Bayer CropScience has donated $38,000 to non-profits in conjunction with its “More for Everyone” award program.
